![]() ![]() “Feeling better today?” Toby gave him a bemused look as he walked into the house and towards the kitchen cupboard with the ibuprofen. ![]() “Just a minute!” He heard a muffled yell, followed by the scrape of a chair and Jim’s footsteps coming towards the door, was he running? The door lock and the deadbolt both scraped in their latches before the door flung open. He trudged up the stairs and rang the doorbell in the same obnoxious tune that he and Jim had been using since they were eight. Reaching the top of the hill he pulled to the right side of the street and rode up into Jim’s driveway before parking his bike against the garage. He’d eventually decided that if trolls had invaded Jim’s back yard that he would want Jim to tell him so that meant he should tell Jim, or, maybe that wasn’t how that worked? Toby had hemmed and hawed all afternoon in the dentist chair. L would be gone for her shift, and Nana was going on a date with Phil, Jim should be home alone. It was two hours after school had let out, Dr. He stood on the pedals as he started up the hill to the cul-de-sac. Toby’s jaw still hurt, Gladys was always too rough when she assisted. ![]() Muelas had been worried that he would need to come in for a follow up appointment, but when he’d started working today he’d been surprised to discover that Toby’s molars weren’t as bad off as he’d initially thought. When he’d scheduled his appointment last week Dr. Toby worked his jaw as he rode his bike home from the dentist. ![]()
